The Gif Dedication of Borrachas
Boarrachas, a young motion designer from Portugal, one day decided to make and publish a gif every day for a year. He knew that challenging himself that way would help him grow as an artist. As he told me ‘”I wasn’t going to “feel it” every day… no one does….so I ended up creating an environment where I could practice for those days when inspiration doesn’t really strike you and learning how to get over them.” He has a lot of wisdom for a young artist. That daily practice has led to his developing an impressive body of geometric gif work that is inventive and at times sensual; of late, all in his trademark pale pink.
